Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigates homicide in Parkland County

On May 22, 2022, Parkland RCMP received a report of a disturbance in Duffield. Upon arrival, officers located a 29-year-old Paul First Nation man deceased. Parkland RCMP contacted the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit who took over the investigation.

On May 25, 2022, an autopsy was performed by the Edmonton Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the manner of death has been deemed as a homicide.

Charges have yet to be laid in this tragic incident. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate.
