Bay Roberts RCMP looks to identify potential witnesses to camper fire in Butlerville

Bay Roberts RCMP is investigating a fire that destroyed a camper while stored on a private rural property in Butlerville on Tuesday night.

On March 15, 2022, at approximately 7 p.m., Bay Roberts RCMP responded to the report of audible explosions and smoke billowing from the area of Garland Road. Police attended the scene where a camper was fully engulfed in flames.

Prior to police arrival, a black or dark blue Ford F-150 long-box pickup truck, with two male occupants, was observed travelling in the area at the time of the fire. Bay Roberts RCMP is interested in identifying those two individuals as potential witnesses.

The cause of the blaze remains undetermined at this time. The investigation is continuing.
