Berens River RCMP respond to fatal vehicle versus pedestrian collision

On March 28, 2022, at approximately 3:15 am, Berens River RCMP responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on the All Weather Road, also know as Rice River Road, south of Berens River.

A vehicle travelling south on the All Weather Road, from Berens River to Bloodvein, collided with a pedestrian who was on the roadway.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old female from Bloodvein First Nation, was pronounced deceased on scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 51-year-old female from Selkirk, was not physically injured.

Berens River RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
