Malcolm is described as having a slender build, brown eyes, shoulder-length brown and grey hair and a beard.

Smeaton RCMP continue to ask for the public's assistance in locating 69-year-old Malcolm Custer, who was last seen on June 17, 2022 in the area of the Big Sandy Fishing and Hunting Resort.

Smeaton RCMP, with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP Search and Rescue, the Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Association of Volunteers, the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association and family/community members have searched the rural area where Malcolm was last seen. These searches will continue.

Malcolm is known to visit Deschambault Lake, Brabant Lake, La Ronge, Stanley Mission and Prince Albert, and Smeaton RCMP is working with investigators in each of these communities.

Smeaton Lake RCMP continue to ask for the public's assistance locating 69-year-old Malcolm Custer. Investigators are following up on information received and family and community members are searching areas Malcolm is familiar with. This includes the area of the Big Sandy Bay Fishing and Hunting Resort, where he was last seen on June 17, and the "50 mile stretch" of Highway #165 between Highway #106 and La Ronge. As previously noted, he also sometimes visits Prince Albert, La Ronge and Stanley Mission.

Smeaton Lake RCMP seeks public assistance locating a missing 69-year-old man

On July 20, 2022, Smeaton Lake RCMP received a report of a missing 69-year-old man: Malcolm Custer. Police officers have been looking for him since.

Malcolm left Deschambault Lake on foot to go to La Ronge on June 27, 2022. Being gone for that long is unusual for him and his family and police are worried for his well-being.

He was last seen at the Big Sandy Bay Fishing and Hunting Resort north of Smeaton, SK, on Sunday July 17, 2022.

Malcolm is described as having a slender build, brown eyes, shoulder-length brown and grey hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. He may appear lost.

He has connections to Stanley Mission, La Ronge and Prince Albert.
