A 41-year-old man who fled from Harbour Grace RCMP at an attempted traffic stop on July 25, 2022, was arrested a short time later and now faces a criminal charge of flight from police.

Shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Monday, police attempted to stop a car on Water Street in Carbonear. The vehicle fled from police at a high rate of speed. He was released from custody and is set to appear in court at a later date to face a criminal charge of flight from police and a charge under the Highway Traffic Act for driving while suspended.
