East Prince RCMP asking for public’s assistance following suspicious fire

The East Prince RCMP is asking for the public's assistance following a suspicious fire in Breadalbane, PEI.

On July 6, 2022, at approximately 9 p.m., members of the East Prince RCMP and the New Glasgow Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on Route 231. The house was not occupied and was not connected to electricity at the time of the fire.

Through the investigation, police along with the Provincial Fire Marshals office have determined the fire to be suspicious in nature. The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.

Anyone with information about this fire, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area on July 6, is asked to contact the East Prince RCMP at 902-436-9300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The investigation is ongoing.
