Tires of poor condition were factors in two of three single-vehicle crashes that occurred on Route 330 North of Gander on April 24, 2022.

Gander RCMP is encouraging motorists to check the condition of their vehicle's tires after responding to single-vehicle crashes on April 24, 2022, where poor tire condition was believed to be a factor in two of the three crashes.

All three crashes occurred on Route 330 North of Gander at various times throughout the day. Two of the vehicles that came to rest on their roofs were found to have tires of poor condition, with very low tread remaining. The third vehicle had tires of good condition and remained upright as it departed the roadway.

There's a lot riding on your tires. Keep you, your loved ones and all others who share the roadway safe by ensuring your vehicle is equipped with tires that are in good condition.

RCMP NL reminds motorists that all passenger vehicles must be equipped with tires having a minimum of 1.5 millimetres of tread depth remaining.
