Grande Prairie RCMP advise public of stolen police uniform and equipment – Update #3

On March 16, 2022, at approximately 10:41 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP attempted to stop a stolen vehicle when it fled from police. A female was subsequently arrested, however the 31-year-old male suspect, stole an unmarked police car and fled. The next day, he was arrested without incident.

The 31-year-old male of Valleyview, Alta., has been charged with the following offences:

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Flight from police
  • Possession of stolen property x2
  • Resist arrest
  • Theft of motor vehicle
  • Break and enter
  • Theft over $5,000

The 31-year-old male appeared in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on March 21, 2022 and has been remanded into custody for court on April 4, 2022.

The other individual who was arrested at the scene has been identified as a 29-year-old female of Grande Prairie. She has been charged with the following offences:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Assault on a police officer with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

The 29-year-old female was released from custody on conditions and is scheduled to appear on April 20, 2022 at Grande Prairie Provincial Court.
