Harbour Grace RCMP is investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred in Carbonear on May 31, 2022, leaving a 26-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
Police received the report of the rollover collision at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers attended the scene on Route 70 in Carbonear, near Valley Road. A SUV departed the roadway, rolled over and came to rest in a ditch. The driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected during the crash. He was transported via ambulance for urgent medical treatment and remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A Traffic Analyst with RCMP Traffic Services attended the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
