High Level RCMP seek public assistance with robbery with a firearm investigation

On May 28, 2022, shortly after 6 a.m., High Level RCMP, along with EMS, were dispatched to the alley between 105 Street and 106 Street in High Level where a youth male had been sprayed with bear mace.

Through the investigation, it was learned the youth was walking in the alley when he was approached by a male and female suspect who brandished a handgun and demanded money. The youth male was then sprayed with bear mace. The youth was able to retrieve the handgun from the suspects before they took off on foot, after stealing the victim's cell phone.

The male suspect is described as Indigenous, wearing a black and white bandana, a hat and glasses. The female suspect is described as Indigenous with black or brown hair.
