On October 20, 2022, at 5:00 pm, Island Lake RCMP received a report of a deceased male on the Garden Hill First Nation.
Officers attended and located a 40-year-old male in the water who was the victim of a homicide.
The investigation led to the arrest of four males from the community who have all been remanded into custody for a court appearance scheduled for October 24, 2022.
Terry Monias (26) has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
The following three males were charged with Accessory After the Fact.

- Thurston Wood (21)
- Kerwin Keno (19)
Island Lake RCMP along with Major Crime Services continue to investigate.
