Leduc RCMP seek public assistance to identify suspects in shooting

On May 3, 2022, at approximately 12:07 a.m., Leduc RCMP were dispatched to a shooting at a residence in the area of Camelot Crescent in Leduc where nobody was physically injured.

Leduc RCMP with the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services attended the residence and made extensive patrols of the area, but the suspects were not located.

Leduc RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) with the assistance of the RCMP Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate this incident.

"We believe there are people out there who have information about this shooting." says Cst. Cheri-Lee Smith, Media Relations Officer of Leduc RCMP. "Our detachment members are working diligently to located the suspects involved in this shooting and ask residents in the area at the time of the shooting to report any suspicious persons or activity they may have seen."

This incident is believed to have been targeted, and it is not believed that there is a risk to the public.
