On December 19, 2022, at approximately 3:55 pm, RCMP Central Traffic Services received a report of a two-vehicle collision in the westbound lane of the South Perimeter Highway, located near the Pembina Highway overpass.
The investigation has determined that a 65-year-old female driver, from Mississauga, lost control of her vehicle while crossing over the overpass and collided with the concrete median. Her vehicle was then struck by a westbound cube truck, being driven by a 22-year-old male, who was not physically injured.
The 65-year-old was transported to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
RCMP Central Traffic Services along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
