Parkland RCMP continue to investigate a sudden death that occurred on Highway 16 at the Jennifer Heil overpass on May 28, 2022. The deceased male has been identified as a 38-year-old resident of Spruce Grove, Alta.

Parkland RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance so far. They are now seeking to speak to anyone who was driving in that area between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., on May 28, 2022. If you saw anyone stopped in that area, or struck an unknown object, please contact the Parkland RCMP at 825-220-2000.

Parkland RCMP on scene at a sudden death on Highway 16 – Update 1

Parkland RCMP are seeking public assistance in regards to the sudden death, which occurred on Highway 16 at the Jennifer Heil overpass on May 28, 2022.

RCMP are looking to speak to anyone who was driving in that area between the evening of May 27 and early hours of May 28. If you saw, or struck what you believed to be an animal, please contact the Parkland RCMP.

Parkland RCMP on scene at a sudden death on Highway 16

Parkland RCMP are currently on scene at a sudden death on Highway 16 at the Jennifer Heil overpass. At this time west bound traffic is being diverted via the access ramp to continue west; however, traffic is extremely backed up and slow moving.

RCMP are asking the public to avoid the area. An update will be sent when further information becomes available.
