PEI RCMP seeking public’s help following suspicious fire

The West Prince RCMP is seeking the public's help following a suspicious structure fire in Carleton, PEI.

On July 11, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the West Prince RCMP and the O'Leary Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at an structure fire near the intersection of Hazel Grove Road and Route 2. The structure was not connected to electricity, and was unoccupied.

Through the investigation, police have determined the fire to be suspicious in nature. The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.

Anyone with information about this fire or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the evening hours of July 11, is asked to contact the West Prince RCMP at 902-853-9300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The investigation is ongoing.
