The St. George RCMP is asking for the public's help identifying a person of interest following a theft of fuel in Lepreau, N.B.
On June 2, 2022, at approximately 8:40 a.m., a man stopped at the Irving gas station on Route 175, filled his vehicle up and failed to pay. Police believe the same car was involved in a theft of fuel from the Irving on route 170 in St. Stephen on the morning of June 1.
Through the investigation, police obtained a surveillance video photo of the individual involved. The RCMP is now releasing this photo, and are hoping that despite the quality of the image, information from the public may help identify the person or provide additional information to help the investigation.
The vehicle is described as a spray-painted black 2010-2015 four-door Dodge Avenger. A licence plate number is not available at this time. The man is described as being approximately six feet tall (183 centimetres), with a slim build. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
