RCMP investigates break and enter involving theft of firearms

Meteghan RCMP is investigating a break and enter involving a theft of firearms at a home on Langford Rd. in Southville.

On March 16, at approximately 10:35 a.m., police responded to a report of a break and enter at a home on Langford Rd. in Southville. Police learned that three non-restricted firearms were taken, including two break-action shot guns and one semi-automatic rifle. A large hunting knife was also taken.

Police believe that the suspect gained access to the home sometime during the night through the basement door.

The investigation is ongoing.
