In the twenty-four hours leading up to the morning of December 15, the Prince Edward Island RCMP responded to several collisions, several of which resulted in impaired driving investigations.
In the twenty-four hours leading up to the morning of December 15, the PEI RCMP responded to seven collisions, several of which resulted in impaired driving investigations. It is expected that charges of impaired driving will be laid in two of these investigations, while a third driver involved in a collision was given a twenty-four hour road side suspension. These collisions occurred in all three counties across the province and there were no serious injuries.
In addition to the collision investigations, PEI RCMP stopped two other drivers and expect to lay impaired driving charges in those cases as well. This is a total of five impaired drivers that the PEI RCMP has removed from PEI roads, in that time frame.
We remind all Islanders to drive sober. If you think someone is impaired behind the wheel, call 911.
