A quantity of cash with denominations between $5 -$100 bills, a number of ziplock bags of cocaine, a knife, a small set of digital weigh scales and other items consistent with drug trafficking is displayed on a table with a RCMP-RNC JFO West poster.

Twenty-six-year-old Jordan Turner is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine following the search of a hotel room in Deer Lake on May 19, 2022, where drugs and cash were seized by the RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation (JFO) West.

During Turner's arrest outside the hotel, he was searched and officers found approximately 26 grams of cocaine, that was individually wrapped, and more than $1300.00 in cash. A search warrant was executed at a hotel room associated to Turner and police located and seized approximately 4.5 ounces of cocaine and items consistent with drug trafficking.

Turner attends court today. He is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and breach of a court order. He is currently before the court on a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine in relation to a February 2022 RCMP-RNC JFO investigation.

JFO West, which includes dedicated police officers from both the RCMP and RNC, targets drug trafficking and organized crime on the west coast of the province.
