RCMP seeking public’s assistance following break, enter and theft from a church

The Neguac RCMP is seeking the public's assistance following a break, enter and theft at a church in Bartibog, N.B.

The incident is believed to have occurred between the evening hours of April 16 and the morning hours of April 17, 2022, at a church on Bartibog Road. The individual forcefully gained entry into the church through a window and stole several items. The church was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

Some of the items that were stolen from the church include:

  • a gold-coloured monstrance from the 1700s
  • a gold-coloured candle holder
  • gold-coloured altar server bells

Anyone with information regarding the thefts, who witnessed suspicious activity on Bartibog Road between April 16 and 17, or who has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the Neguac RCMP at 506-776-3000.
