Major Crime Services press release sign

It has been one year on November 6 since Samantha Gabriel was found in a residence in Fisher River Cree Nation with life-threatening injuries, which she succumbed to on November 7, 2021. RCMP Major Crime Services investigators strongly believe someone has direct information about Samantha's murder.

"We have conducted numerous interviews, followed many leads, and it has led us to determine that there are likely several individuals who have information directly related to the death of this young woman," said Sergeant Gary Bird of RCMP Major Crime Services. "Samantha had just turned 18, and she had so much life ahead of her. It was brutally taken away, and we are asking those who could help bring justice to Samantha to come forward and speak up for her."

The RCMP is asking anyone with information about the homicide of Samantha Gabriel to contact RCMP at 431-489-8105, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
