On June 20, 2022, at approximately 12:50 pm, Red River North RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 8 near Grassmere Road, in the RM of West St. Paul.
A vehicle was stopped on Highway 8 southbound, partially on the gravel shoulder, when it was rear-ended by another vehicle.
The driver and sole occupant of the stopped vehicle, a 70-year-old female from Winnipeg was pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, a 21-year-old male from the RM of West St. Paul, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information or dash cam video, is asked to call Red River North RCMP at 204-667-6519.
