Redcliff RCMP charge female following sexual assault investigation in Dunmore

On Dec. 13, 2021, Redcliff RCMP received a complaint of a sexual assault from a student at Eagle Butte High School in Dunmore, Alta. The victim who alleged that starting in 2021, when they were 16 years old, had been sexually assaulted on multiple occasions by a teacher employed at Eagle Butte High School. Redcliff RCMP's investigation indicates the offences took place over a number of months in 2021.

On Dec. 16, 2021, following an investigation, Redcliff RCMP arrested a 27-year-old from Medicine Hat, Alta., in Medicine Hat.

She was charged with the following:

  • Sexual assault
  • Sexual exploitation of a young person

She was released from custody on undertaking with numerous conditions that include not to have unsupervised contact with persons under 18, and not to attend places where persons under 18 are likely to attend, such as a public park or pool. She is scheduled to appear in Medicine Hat Provincial Court on Jan. 27, 2022.
