On March 26, 2022, at approximately 8:00 pm, Thompson RCMP received a report that a 29-year-old male was assaulted at a residence in York Factory First Nation and had succumbed to his injuries.
Investigation has so far determined that the male was at a social gathering at the residence when he was assaulted by another male. He was then transported to the Nursing Station, where he was pronounced deceased.
Trevor Saunders, 30, from York Landing is charged with Manslaughter and remains in custody.
RCMP Major Crime Services have been engaged and taken carriage of the investigation.
The investigation continues.
