Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit charge man with drug offences

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (VISCEU) has charged a man with drug offences after an investigation in New Minas.

On November 30, 2022, as a result of an ongoing investigation, VISCEU, with assistance from the Kings District RCMP, Kings District RCMP General Investigation Section and the Kentville Police Service General Investigation Section, executed a search warrant at a home on Commercial St. in New Minas. A 29-year-old New Minas man was safely arrested at the home. During the search, police located and seized cocaine, hydromorphone pills, cash, scales, packaging and other prescription drugs.

Isaac William Hatt, 29, of New Minas, has been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purpose of Trafficking. Hatt has been released from custody and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court February 8, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
