Wetaskiwin RCMP respond to stabbing at Pigeon Lake Regional School

On April 25, 2022, at 10:55 a.m., Wetaskiwin RCMP received a complaint of a stabbing at the Pigeon Lake Regional School. Upon arrival, RCMP located a 16-year-old victim with injuries. The victim has been transported by STARS ambulance to an area hospital.

RCMP located a 16-year-old suspect who was taken into custody without incident. The suspect remains in custody with charges pending.

Both individuals were students at the School.

The School was placed into a lockdown status at the onset of this incident. It remained in this status while RCMP conducted their investigation. The lockdown is now lifted, and there is no danger to the students or public.
