On April 7, 2022, RCMP located what is believed to be the suspect vehicle. Investigators continue to look for those involved in the shooting and are asking anyone with information to contact Yellowhead RCMP at 204-759-2344.


On April 5, 2022, at approximately 4:10 pm, Yellowhead RCMP received a report of a shooting on 6th Street in Hamiota, Manitoba. Officers responded immediately to the scene. The suspects had fired shots at a residence from a vehicle and fled the scene. The homeowner was not at the residence at the time of the shooting. However, two adult males who are working in the area and staying at the residence were home at the time of the shooting. Neither male was physically injured.

RCMP are looking for a dirty black or grey SUV, believed to be a Pontiac Torrent. The vehicle fled southbound on 6th Street, west on Maple Avenue, and then north on Highway 21. It is believed the vehicle contained four individuals.
