Yellowknife RCMP respond to assault with a weapon

On April 30, 2022, at 1 pm, the Yellowknife RCMP responded to a report of two men fighting near a commercial business on Forrest Drive. Officers attended and determined a thirty-year-old man had been assaulted with a weapon and suffered an injury to his arm. The man was transported to the Stanton Territorial hospital and later released.

A thirty-year-old man was arrested on-scene and has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The accused remains in custody.
