Statement

The Alberta RCMP acknowledges the immense loss the Tuccaro family has suffered. We extend our sincerest condolences to them and any families of victims experiencing similar loss.

Just as Amber Tuccaro's family has not given up searching for answers, the Alberta RCMP is steadfast in our pursuit of bringing justice to Amber and seeking closure for her family. The investigation into her death remains open and ongoing.

We reaffirm our commitment to resolving Amber's homicide and seeking closure for the Tuccaro family, and ensuring a thorough, complete and focused investigation of all files we open. We are resolute in our dedication to work with communities and ensure the safety of everyone we serve.

The Alberta RCMP is dedicated to resolving unsolved cases of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls across our province, and working to bring these women and girls home to their families. MMIWG investigations continue to be a priority for us, as is our commitment to supporting survivors and their loved ones. We are working proactively with Indigenous communities and partners to prevent more of these cases from happening. We also actively participate in walks, gatherings, conferences and any efforts to bring awareness to this crisis.

While the information released today brings new attention to Amber's investigation, any and all evidence is important and helpful.
