Eskasoni RCMP has arrested two people for drug offences as part of an ongoing drug investigation in Eskasoni.
On February 23, 2023, as part of an ongoing drug investigation, Eskasoni RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Crane Cove Rd. in Eskasoni. RCMP officers safely arrested two people, a 54-year-old Eskasoni man and a 28-year-old Eskasoni woman, at the home. During the search, RCMP officers located and seized, cocaine, prescription pills, ammunition, machetes, cash, cellular phones and drug paraphernalia.
The man and woman were later released and are expected to face charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. They are expected to appear in Eskasoni Provincial Court on May 2, 2023.
