On January 23, 2023, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner completed the autopsy of 27-year-old Kara Fosseneuve. The cause of death was due to exposure.
As there have been widely-shared social media posts and news articles on her death with speculative information contrary to the investigative facts; the RCMP is releasing the following details:
The investigation has determined that sometime in the early morning hours of December 31, 2022, Kara left a residence on Dadson Row and made her way to Green Street.
It is believed she then entered a garage located at the rear of the property to take shelter where she succumbed to the elements.
There is no evidence of any criminality.

Kara Fosseneuve has been located deceased. Criminality does not appear to be a factor. An autopsy will take place. The investigation continues.

On January 5, 2023, at approximately midnight, Flin Flon RCMP received a report a missing 27-year-old female from Flin Flon. Kara Fosseneuve was last seen on December 31, 2022, when she left a residence on Dadson Row in Flin Flon. Kara has not been heard from since. She left the residence on foot in an unknown direction and does not have her cell phone.
Officers patrolled looking for Kara and spoke with her friends and family, following up on multiple leads. However, Kara remains missing. Creighton RCMP has been engaged in case Kara went to Creighton, Saskatchewan, very close to Flin Flon.
Kara is described as 5'7" tall, 150 pounds, with long black hair. She was wearing a black jacket, cut off blue jeans, and black boots when she was last seen.
