A 22-year-old man was arrested by Fogo Island RCMP on Saturday for impaired operation of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
At approximately 9:15 p.m. on January 7, 2023, Fogo Island RCMP observed a man operating an ATV while not wearing a helmet. Officers conducted a traffic stop and observed signs of impairment. The man was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the detachment, where he provided breath samples over the legal limit.
The operator was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. His license was also suspended.
