Happy Valley-Goose Bay arrests impaired driver

A 24-year-old man was arrested by Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP on February 28, 2023, for impaired operation of a vehicle.

Shortly before midnight on Tuesday, police noticed a vehicle being driven erratically through an intersection on Hamilton River Road in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Officers conducted a traffic stop and signs of impairment were observed. The driver failed a roadside breath test and was arrested for impaired driving. He was transported to the detachment and provided further breath samples that were above the legal limit.


The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. His license was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
