Man and woman arrested following theft investigation

A 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, both from Scoudouc, N.B., have been arrested following an investigation into theft in Dieppe.

On February 10, 2023, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a theft of a Kubota tractor from a parking lot on Champlain Street in Dieppe. The tractor was valued at $180,000.

On February 20, following information received from the Codiac Regional RCMP, members of the Shediac RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Route 132 in Scoudouc in connection with the investigation into the theft. The stolen tractor was recovered on the property, and a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

Both individuals were later released, and are scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on June 2, 2023.

The investigation is ongoing.
