The Saint-Léonard RCMP is asking for the public's help identifying a person of interest following a theft of fuel in Rivière-Verte, N.B.

On February 12, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a man stopped at a business on Davis Road in Rivière-Verte, N.B. and filled his vehicle up and failed to pay.

Through the investigation, police obtained a surveillance video photo of the individual involved. The RCMP is now releasing this photo, and are hoping that despite the quality of the image, information from the public may help identify the person or provide additional information to help the investigation.

The vehicle involved is described as a white Mazda 4-door sedan with a partial licence plate number starting with the letters "GJ". The man is described as being approximately six feet tall (183 centimetres), with a slim build. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a black hoodie, jeans, black winter boots and a black baseball hat.
