RCMP Central Traffic Services respond to fatal two-vehicle collision

On March 1, 2023, at 10:45pm, RCMP Central Traffic Services received a report of a two-vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Highway 100 (South Perimeter Highway) and McGillivray Blvd.

Investigators have determined that a southbound vehicle, being driven by a 20-year-old male from Winnipeg, collided with a northbound semi-trailer as it was making a legal left-hand turn onto Highway 3.

The 20-year-old male, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The 38-year-old male driver of the semi-trailer was not physically injured.

Central Traffic Services RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
