Recovery search efforts are continuing for 41-year-old Troy Blais, who has been missing since last week.
This week, searches were conducted by the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team in the area of the ocean where the ATV was found, which were supported by the Canadian Coast Guard and Deer Lake Search and Rescue with the use of Side-Scan Sonar equipment. Searches by Stephenville Ground Search and Rescue were conducted and are continuing. Also, further air searches are anticipated to continue today.
Blais is believed to have last been seen on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in the Blue Beach area of the Port au Port Peninsula. His all-terrain vehicle (ATV) was located over a cliff on Saturday morning in Black Duck Brook.
