Bob Paulson – Commissioner
The RCMP Commissioner heads an organization of approximately 30, 000 employees working out of some 800 locations across Canada. The RCMP also has officers serving in international missions including Haiti, Sudan and Afghanistan, and in Canadian embassies and consulates in 26 countries around the world. The Commissioner regularly travels within Canada to meet with RCMP employees, federal, provincial/territorial, municipal and Aboriginal leaders and government officials and policing and public safety partners. The Commissioner's international commitments include meetings with senior government officials, security executives and policing partners, including those involved in security operations and international peacekeeping missions. The Commissioner serves on the Executive Committee of INTERPOL and represents the RCMP and Canada in various other international fora. The Commissioner also regularly participates in ceremonies involving the RCMP, nationally and internationally.
