National Youth Advisory Committee
Canadian residents between the ages of 13 and 21 can now apply to be a part of the 2020–21 RCMP National Youth Advisory Committee!
Submit your application by July 31, 2020 to be a part of the first selection round! This gives you a better chance of being selected. If you are not selected, you will automatically be considered as part of the second round.
The RCMP National Youth Advisory Committee (NYAC) helps shape how the RCMP supports young persons. It brings together up to 100 youth between the ages of 13 and 21 from all over Canada to discuss important issues that they face in their respective communities. The NYAC provides valuable input to RCMP policies, programs and strategies.
How it works
The NYAC is composed of two groups of young Canadian residents (ages 13-17 and 18-21) from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Members meet on a moderated, private online forum to discuss youth trends, RCMP programs, as well as youth crime and victimization issues.
This commitment requires approximately two to four online hours per month, from October to June.
How to apply
