Support for Operational Stress Injury Program (SOSI)

Support. Connection. Resilience.

Working for a law enforcement agency can weigh on your mind, spirit and physical well-being, even after you've left active service. Exposure to traumatic incidents or high stress situations may be too much to handle on your own.

The Support for Operational Stress Injury (SOSI) Program supports veterans and current employees of the RCMP having difficulty with their daily functioning as a result of their service. We provide a national peer support network for all retired and serving:

  • Regular members
  • Civilian members
  • Auxiliary members
  • Public service employees

The first step in the road to wellness

SOSI will connect you to an understanding ear, a supportive community of people with similar experiences, and the effective resources to help.

You are in control of how much support you want. Your conversations are non-recorded, confidential, respectful, and non-judgmental at all times.

Our Division Coordinators and Volunteers can, if you so choose:

  • meet with you one-on-one
  • provide helpful resources and information
  • help you connect with others who are in similar situations
  • facilitate group discussions
