On February 12, 2024 at approximately 4:30 a.m., Carrot River RCMP received a report of an injured male on Highway #163 on Red Earth Cree Nation.
Officers immediately responded and located the male, who was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.
He has been identified as a 31-year-old from Red Earth Cree Nation. His family has been notified and victim services made available to them.
Preliminary investigation suggests the male may have been struck by a vehicle, which did not remain at the scene. Carrot River RCMP continue to investigate in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
