Update- RCMP searching for man wanted in homicide

Rodney Mcnabb has been arrested. He turned himself in to police this afternoon, and has been remanded into custody.

The RCMP thanks the public and the media for their assistance.


On July 5, 2020, at 6:45 am, RCMP received a report of a shooting at a residence located on River Road in the community of Grand Rapids.

Officers attended and located a 31-year-old male who was transported to the nursing station where he succumbed to his injuries.

His death was deemed a homicide.

On September 15, 2020, a warrant of arrest was issued for 22-year-old, Rodney Cain Mcnabb for Second Degree Murder. RCMP are actively looking for him and are asking for the public's assistance.

He is described as 6'0", approximately 165 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. It is believed that he is in the Winnipeg area.

He is considered a danger to the public. If seen, do not approach, call police immediately.
