An apartment building in Grand Bank was destroyed by fire on July 21, 2021.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to the report of a fire at an apartment building on Blackburn Road. The fire was brought under control by firefighters from Grand Bank and Fortune Fire Departments, who attended the scene to battle the blaze. The building, which contained three units, was completely destroyed. All tenants had safely evacuated the building and there were no injuries; occupants were assessed for smoke inhalation.

The origin of the fire has been determined not to be criminal in nature
