RCMP Traffic Services West tickets driver and seizes vehicle in Hughes Brook

Traffic Services West seized this vehicle and ticketed the driver on March 2, 2021 for driving 39 km/hr over the posted limit and not having a valid driver's licence or insurance.

RCMP Traffic Services West conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the community of Hughes Brook on March 2, 2021, which led to tickets issued and seizure of the vehicle.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., police were on patrol in Hughes Brook on the North Shore of the Bay of Islands when they observed a car travelling 39 km/hr above the posted speed limit within a residential area. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, a 25-year-old man, was found to be driving without a valid driver's licence and insurance.

The vehicle was seized and the driver was issued summary offence tickets.
