Cochrane RCMP investigate robbery with a firearm

In the early hours of May 9. 2022, Cochrane RCMP received a report of a robbery at Uplands Ridge in Rockyview County. The investigation has revealed that the homeowner came home and interrupted an apparent break and enter in progress. The homeowner was approached by a masked individual with a firearm who forced the homeowner to the ground. The suspect left the residence in what is described as an older model grey blue SUV or van, possibly a Honda Odyssey.

The suspect has been described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 5 feet 9 inches tall
  • 160 pounds
  • Raspy voice
  • Wearing large work boots, dark hoodie and jacket, black pants with cargo pockets, gloves, balaclava
