Coronation RCMP charge three suspects with property related offences

On March 1, 2022, Coronation RCMP received a report of a vehicle in the ditch and suspicious activity in the County of Paintearth. The incident was reported to Coronation RCMP due to recent property crime in the area. The three suspect were observed leaving the vehicle on foot, and community members watched them at a distance. Checks on the vehicle showed that it was stolen out of Lacombe County, Alta. two days prior. Coronation RCMP members were able to intercept the three suspects and arrest them without incident.

As a result of the investigation Coronation RCMP have charged:

A 42-year-old male of Coronation, Alta. was charged with:

  • Failing to comply with his house arrest (x5)
  • Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.

He has been remanded in custody with his next appearance set for March 22, 2022, at Red Deer Provincial Court:

A 33-year-old male of Edmonton charged with the following:

  • Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.

He was released from custody with his next appearance set for April 8, 2022 at Coronation Provincial Court

A 35-year-old female of Red Deer, Alta. charged with the following:

  • Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.

She was released from custody with her next appearance set for April 8, 2022, at Coronation Provincial Court

In a small community the problems associated with property related crimes are amplified. As part of our Rural Crime Reduction Strategy, we encourage members of the public/businesses to report suspicious activity. Although we don't encourage members of the public to get involved personally in this incident, their observations were critical in locating and arresting the suspects.
