Fourth man charged in connection with homicide of Joedin Leger

A fourth man has been charged in the death of 18-year-old Joedin Leger of Moncton.

On June 29, 2022, an 18-year-old Moncton man was arrested in Riverview in connection with the investigation. On June 30, he appeared in Moncton Provincial Court by way of tele-remand and was charged with first degree murder. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on July 13.

The man cannot be named as he was a minor at the time of the incident.

The other three people charged with first degree murder in connection with Joedin Leger's death are 18-year-old Riley Robert Sheldon Philips, 20-year-old Hunter Nash England, and 23-year-old Jerek John England, all three of the Moncton area.

The charges stem from an incident on April 25, 2022 at a home on Logan Lane in Moncton. Police responded to a report of shots fired, and found 18-year-old Joedin Leger suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died of his injuries.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone who may have information regarding this matter is asked to contact the RCMP MCU or Crimestoppers.
