Leduc RCMP investigate suspicious occurrence in City of Leduc

On July 20, 2022, at approximately 2 p.m., Leduc RCMP began an investigation into a suspicious occurrence in the City of Leduc.

Leduc RCMP received a report of a suspicious male in a vehicle in the area of Black Gold Drive near the entrance to the Leduc Golf Course that occurred between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The investigation revealed that a 15-year-old youth was walking on a pathway when they were approached by an unknown male in a vehicle. During the interaction, the suspect offered the youth a ride. The youth continued walking away from the male and was approached again nearby where the youth was able to disengage with the assistance of a nearby adult. The suspect left the area in a dark coloured SUV.

The male suspect is described as:

  • Dark complexion
  • 25-30 years of age

Leduc RCMP are looking for information that might lead to the identity of the suspect or assist in the investigation.

No similar complaints have been reported to the Leduc RCMP recently.
