On October 13, 2022, RCMP charged 25-year-old Garnet Spencer Budd, of Thompson, with Second Degree Murder in relation to the October 12, 2022, homicide in Thompson.
He was remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 14, 2022, in Thompson.
RCMP Major Crimes Services continue to investigate.
On October 12, 2022, at approximately 8:10 am, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of an unresponsive female at an apartment located on Cree Road in Thompson.
Officers arrived on scene and located a 33-year-old female who was pronounced deceased. Her death is being treated as a homicide.
A 25-year-old male was arrested on scene and remains in police custody.
Thompson RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
