On Jan. 27, 2023, Alberta RCMP Major Crimes arrested a 20-year-old individual at the Lethbridge Correctional Center. The individual has been further charged with the following offences in relation to the death of Tia Blood:
- Trafficking a controlled substance
- Manslaughter
Following an interim judicial hearing, the individual was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Lethbridge provincial court on Feb. 13, 2023, to answer to these new charges.
As the matter is before the courts, no further information will be released.
